King Cotton & The Remnants release new album, “The Misery Index”
Spending the past two years in the studio, King Cotton & The Remnants return with a powerful and emotional thirteen song collection creating their new aptly titled album, “The Misery Index.” Thematically deeper, technically divergent, and with higher fidelity from their previous works, the new release takes the band beyond expectations into a novel and exciting realm of songwriting. “The Misery Index” reads like the soulful memoir of working-class America.

The musicians in King Cotton & The Remnants have been playing together in various bands for over 30 years. Endeavoring on their current musical venture in 2007, the band has released two albums, 2008’s “Borderline Brilliant!” and the recent, “The Misery Index.” The band is now playing in support of their latest release, drawing upon their body of over thirty-five original compositions. Their sound calls upon the best musical traditions of the South and manifests the sentiments of a decaying and broken American landscape.
